    Good evening all!

Thank you to everyone on this board for contributing your knowledge and helping out. I was a prior V22 pilot, and left the military last year. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do what I set out to, as about a 1/3 of us 22 guys had our flying orders curtailed due to the surplus of pilots and I was the junior guy in the squadron. I ended up with very little flying – only about 400 hours.

I am currently in a premed postbacc program. I have done well, and have a guaranteed link (conditionally accepted to med school early, contingent upon graduating).

Since I wasn’t able to scratch the itch, I hope to apply/rushGuard units in my home state of CA to fly the C130. The C130 has been a dream of mine as my parents were immigrants and came to the states on one. Since I am winged, but don’t have TMS credibility, do y’all think this would severely hurt my application since I will be applying under rated?

What would the process look like for a “transfer” to get current? I have my commercial, single, multi, rotorcraft, and instrument land ratings if that helps.

    Thank you all!

Commenting to follow what folks have to say. As an active V-22 guy I’m curious to hear about this!
