Job Description:

The next Montana Air National Guard Pilot (UPT) and Navigator (CSO) Selection Board will be March 5-6, 2022 at the Montana Air National Guard Base. Those interested must mail in a package that is postmarked by December 25, 2021 and arrive by January 5th, 2022. Packages that do not make the deadline will be discarded. The initial application must include the following items (other documents will be discarded)

a. Letter of Intent (your own version)

b. Resume (colleges attended, major, GPA, military experience and any flight experience must be included)

c. College transcript – a copy is acceptable

d. Documentation of military experience – if applicable

e. Documentation of flight experience to include licenses and/or last page of log book entries

f. Air Force Officer Qualification Test (AFOQT) scores and Test of Basic Aviation Skills (TBAS) Scores (both tests are give at active duty Air Force bases and Air Force ROTC locations) – local area testing can be scheduled at Malmstrom Air Force Base by calling 406-731-4349 or emailing 341FSS.FSDE.TRAINING@US.AF.MIL

g. Letters of Recommendation (max of three)

How to Apply:

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and not be older than age 33 by November 8, 2021 IAW AFMAN36-2100. (Age waivers will only be entertained for current members of the Montana Air National Guard per Commander’s discretion)

The Montana Air National Guard UPT/CSO Selection Board selects highly qualified applicants for interviews. Not all applicants will get an interview. Selected interviewees are offered a UPT slot or CSO slot based on the needs of the Montana Air National Guard.
