The 79th ARS is currently seeking qualified candidates for its next non rated hiring board. The “Fighting 79th” has a proud history dating back to 1943 that includes involvement in every major conflict since WWII. The unit is based at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California and currently operates the KC-10 Extender. Pilots hired from this board can expect to fly the KC-46 Pegasus.
The next 79th Air Refueling Squadron Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) Selection Board will be March 5-6, 2022 at Travis AFB, CA. Electronic application packages are required and may be sent by email to the contact information listed below. Packages must be received by February 28, 2022 or they will not be considered. Send electronic packages in a PDF format. Packages will be named with “ First name.last name.pdf ”.
Package contents must include
1) Cover Letter + Resume (include flying times if any)
2) AFOQT/TBAS/PCSM Scores
3) College Transcripts
4) Letters of recommendation
The 79th Air Refueling Squadron UPT Selection Board selects highly qualified applicants for interviews. Not all applicants will get an interview. Selected interviewees are assigned a UPT slot and will receive training on the KC-46 Pegasus.
