For the board that convened last October, we got results in December and most of the AF enlisted guys are going to OTS in July. I think the civilian applicants are a bit more varied, but will be going a month or so later.

Hey Kyle, being a command sponsor, are you still searching for a unit to sponsor you or did you already solidify that prior to pursuing the unsponsored route?

Just to clarify as well, you can join any unit as an enlisted and also rush other units to get a pilot slot. Joining doesn’t hubcap you to that one location.

For context, this has happened before back in 2005-2010. What was true then appears to be true now:

– that the bad deals tend to fall hardest on the REGAF (active duty). Usually the ANG does a pretty good job of protecting it’s spots so the cuts come from allocations that REGAF pilots would have competed…
