I appreciate your replies and I certainly understand the perspective! Perhaps there will be flexibility with the IPT syllabus in the future for students who come in with a PPL. Then again, by forcing everyone into the same syllabus regardless of background you can create the same baseline across the board. It’ll be interesting…

Will IPT replacing IFT change Guard/Reserve hiring?

I’ve read a few articles and other forums regarding the new Initial Pilot Training (IPT) program that is replacing Initial Flight Training in Pueblo, CO. I’m curious if this may change how some Guard/Reserve units hire since everyone is, at least for now, required to attend IPT whether they have a PPL or not. I know this will be largely…
