Think of all the hard work you’ve already put in just to get yourself promoted to Candidate. That’s no small task. However, the final gauntlet that everyone must pass is the Air Force Academy Admissions Liaison Officer (ALO) Evaluation Interview. The interview is a stressful face-to-face interview with someone who knows what the Air Force is looking for. They want to make sure you’re IT. These interviews are not to be trifled with, as they count for a substantial portion of your Panel Score. In a game where everyone has high grades and test scores, this interview is often the difference-maker.
The Nomination interview will be very similar to the ALO Interview in that a person, board, or panel will be looking to see if you’re the one your elected official is going to choose to represent his/her region. The Nominator will be looking to see if you are, in short, a great American who has integrity and leadership; the same things your Evaluator ALO will be seeking. The stakes are high! Without a Nomination, the Academy won’t even look at your application.
Yet so many go into these “character checkpoints” with no prep. Bad choice!
After having come so far, and with so much to gain, is this really the time to wing it at the goal line? Of course not! Yet many try, and fail. Let our expert coaches help you knock the interviews out of the park and score points that your peers won’t be able to. Your coach will guide you through what to expect and how to format answers that will impress the interviewers with your leadership, charisma, and confidence.
How the 1-on-1 Interview Prep Works:
- How to Get Accepted into the USAFA eCourse (self-study)
- Schedule the Coach/Date/Time of Your Choosing
- 1-on-1 Preliminary Mock Interview (60 mins) – We’ll start by ensuring you understand the basic concepts and form strategies for answering even the toughest questions relative to your unique strengths. We’ll then spend the rest of the time evaluating your responses to the most common interview questions. We ask a question, you answer, then we spend a few minutes providing actionable feedback on that answer before moving on to the next one.
- 1-on-1 Advanced Mock Interview (60 mins) – This is the practice game before the Super Bowl. We’ll customize the questions we ask to the type of interview you’re preparing for and then critique each answer. By the time you’re finished, you’ll feel significantly more confident and prepared for the real thing!
