Adam “Tank” Johnson


Adam graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2007 and completed UPT at Columbus AFB where he was selected to stay as a T-1 Instructor. While assigned to Columbus, Adam flew the MC-12 for a year, then was assigned to fly the KC-135.  Following that assignment, he was selected as Initial Cadre for the KC-46 Formal Training Unit at Altus Air Force Base.  In 2019, Adam opted for a change of pace and joined the Air Force Reserves in Wichita, KS flying the KC-46 and began working at American Airlines flying the A320. He also volunteers as an Air Force Academy Admissions Liaison Officer (ALO) where he helps mentor dozens of prospective USAFA cadets.
