Letter of recommendation question: When uploading LoRs to apply to a squadron, is it proper to change the date to align with the timeframe in which you are applying, or do you leave the date as it was originally written? I have some LoRs with dates back to 2023, and wasn’t sure if the hiring board would think it’s “outdated”.

@Liem for me that wasn’t the case. I never participated in ROTC and I am merely a civilian off the streets. The AFOQT is a prerequisite to apply for OTS, therefore if you are signing up to take it you do not already have to be in OTS.

Has anyone taken the AFOQT @ an ROTC Detachment?

If so, how do you schedule the test?

@EricD Tutor Gunboss will take you to the finish line. I’ve used multiple softwares and 6 textbooks, but Gunboss’ material and insight was superior. I spent 9 months studying and scored 99 Pilot / 71 CSO / 99 ABM. Hey guys, recent college graduate excited to get started on this journey. Any advice on someone just getting started fresh out of college?

What’s the goal? If you want Air Force / Air Guard, get studying for that AFOQT. I’m 24 years old and scheduled to take the AFOQT next month, after 10 months of studying every day. My only regret was not getting started on the studying earlier, like two years ago when I graduated. We future pilots have a short window, so don’t waste a minute.

Fagen Fighters WWII museum in Granite Falls, MN. New Navy hangar along with their Army Air Corps (Air Force) hangar displays. Of all military aviation museums, this is the one worth going back to (I’ve visited four times thus far).
