I’m 39 in the Inactive Ready Reserves (Air Force) and made O-4 last October (late bloomer long story and Aircraft Maintenance Officer looking to fly). I see there is an F-35 UFT slot available. Is it realistic to take a shot at it or stick with shooting for RPAs due to age?

Enlisting in the Air National Guard is a great path and one that will serve you well, I commend you for considering it. Can I Get Some Advice?

I am going on 31 now. Prior Active Duty, but still in the Guard for 12 years now. I finished my bachelor’s in May of 2025 and took my AFOQT and TBAS.

Pilot: 99 CSO: 67 ABM: 97 Verbal: 40 ACAD APT: 47 QUANT: 56 and my PCSM was an 82.

I have 41 flight hours, but getting more flight time right now would be a bit of a financial burden.

For those of you who have filled out a sf-86.

My question is how did you fill out the contact information for previous supervisors if you can’t get this information. I have held multiple part time jobs through out a 10-year time span. I tried contacting my previous employers, but they are not willing to disclose any information about my supervisors.
