The squadron did not hold an official rush event prior due to scheduling, TDY, etc. It was said that ~265 people applied for the one F-35 slot and they ended up choosing 13 people to interview.
The interview was roughly 30 minutes with 4 members of the squadron. They started out with the classic tell me about yourself and then about strengths and weaknesses, how to persevere through UPT, why the squadron, why the area, and what would make me stick around long term, asked if I was single, if I could choose another interviewee to get the slot beside myself who would it be and why, and what gets me up in the morning.
Pretty standard for interviewing at any other squadron but just be yourself. Ask good questions, be engaged, don't be a know-it-all, and don't be afraid to talk to the squadron members about things outside of flying.
