  • Too early to apply?

Hi everyone to keep this short and sweet, I’m working on 3 associates degrees and in my last semester for degrees in Pilot, ATC, and firefighting. I’m looking to finish my bachelors degree in 20 months from now. Is it too early to start applying, I’ve seen people say apply as a junior or senior but that’s all for active and stuff. I’m not really too sure when to start forwarding packets, but I’m extremely interested in OK city 185th unit pilot slots. I know it sounds weird but I just did a presentation infront of my entire college about a similar aircraft (EMB 202) to the Oa-1k, and feel this and a few other reasons is a sign from God to chase this full force. I’m not religious but I’ve never felt a harder external force on my soul. I hope you all understand. I’d appreciate all the input I could get.

    Hi Edward,

Based off of everything in the current climate it is never too early to apply. I would highly recommend applying when and where you can for what MDS/career you want. One way to help out, and some units require it, if you don’t have a degree yet get a memo written and have your college advisor or dean sign it saying you have intent to graduate with your bachelors. Having that letter on hand is good if units request it. Good luck!

    STK!

hey Edward, I just finished talking about this with one of the pilots from my squadron. he told me that its always good to apply young, and you can even do it your senior year in college. like CAGE stated, getting that letter or a copy of your transcripts showing them that you’re on track to get your bachelors will suffice. I was thinking about doing the same, but just make sure you get the rest of the requirements checked off as well. best of luck!

Never to early to apply, edward! Getting your name and intent out there is the best thing for you or anyone else looking to get a UPT slot!

Things usually work out for a reason!

Best of luck to you! Let us know how we can help going forward!
