Job Summary:

The First Officer is responsible to the Captain to assist in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight. In the event of the incapacitation of the Captain, the First Officer will assume command.

Functions/Responsibility:

Carry out duties concerning the flight, in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations and performance relating to the specific aircraft type, as are allocated by the Captain
Provide safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the aircraft and its safe terrain clearance
Safely and properly conduct the flight in compliance with the current flight plan and the Captains instructions when the Captain is not at the controls
To volunteer such advice, information and assistance to the Captain, as may contribute favorably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight
To seek and receive such information and/or explanation from the Captain, as may be necessary to enable the First Officer to fulfill his/her function
Report safety concerns, irregularities, incidents, and accidents to the Director of Safety, if such has not been accomplished by other crewmembers
Review and revise manuals onboard aircraft to insure currency and availability
Requirements

Education:

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED
Aviation Related College Degree preferred
A valid unrestricted driver’s license
A valid unrestricted passport
First Class Medical
FAA Commercial Pilot License with an Instrument Rating
FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
R-ATP Holder – 1,000 hours total time
2,500 hours total time and 500 hours turbine time
Previous FAR 121 experience preferred
Type rated in Boeing-737 preferred

Work Environment & Culture Skills:

Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software & internet proficiency
Candidate must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check

Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard

Location Requirements:

Operation based in Ypsilanti, MI at Willow Run Airport (YIP)
There is no ability to work from home
There will be no relocation package for this position

Shift Requirements:

13 days on, 10 days off schedule bid in 90 day increments
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Must be available full-time and for assigned shifts; including nights, weekends and holidays

Other Requirements:

Must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Benefits:

Pay:

Yearly base compensation of $81,360.00
Salary at start of training, along with accommodations at base (YIP)
Competitive Salary established pay scale including yearly increases and bonuses
