Job Description

DLZ Corporation currently has a Captain or Copilot position open flying out of Columbus, OH . This individual will be part of the crew of DLZ’s Cessna CJ3 Jet .

Captain’s Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure safe conduct of flights assigned.
Maintains final authority in operation of assigned flights.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and foreign regulations; as well as company policies and procedures.
Act as pilot in command (PIC) of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled.
Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
Comply with schedules, and other directives governing the aircraft’s operation.
Ensure that preflight inspections are performed.
Prepare flight plans, study weather conditions at destination, en-route, alternate airports and departure points.
Ensure the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions for the safety and comfort of passengers.
Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and use of performance charts.
Supervise the first officer (second in command) in any duties necessary for the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
Coordinate the function of all crew-members assigned to the flight.
Monitor crew performance, share knowledge with crew members and evaluate crew member potential for advancement.
Make decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights; deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.

 

Captain’s Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP)
Airplane Multi-Engine; Instrument Airplane
525B (CJ3) Type rating (preferred)
3000 Hours PIC, 100 Hours Turbo-Jet Aircraft, and at least 1,500 hours in a Multi-Engine Aircraft
Must have valid United States Passport
Must have valid State driver’s license
Ability to obtain a Second-Class Medical certificate

 

Copilot’s Duties & Responsibilities

Assists the Captain on assigned flights.
Responsible to the Captain for the conduct and execution of assigned duties.
Assist the captain with safety responsibilities.
Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
Perform duties as assigned during flight and flight preparation.
Be prepared to assume command and pilot duties in the event pilot in command is incapacitated.
Follow all FARs and company policies pertinent to assigned duties.

 

Copilot’s Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Flight hours, certifications, and training as required by FAA and insurance for designation.
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP)
Airplane Multi-Engine; Instrument Airplane
2000 Hours PIC, 50 Hours Turbo-Jet Aircraft, and at least 1,000 hours in a Multi-Engine Aircraft
Must have valid United States Passport
Must have valid State driver’s license
Ability to obtain a Second-Class Medical certificate
