Position Summary
Perform duties as a Pilot-In-Command; overall responsible for the safe and legal execution of an ISR flight within the USCENTCOM AOR in accordance with General Aviation Rules. Performs flights in CONUS and OCONUS locations in accordance with GFR approved Flight and Ground Operations Procedures (FGOPs), applicable host nation rules and Federal Aviation Regulations.
This is a Part time/on call position requiring the pilot to perform duties as a PIC at CONUS / OCONUS locations
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to :
Ensure safe, effective, and efficient flight operations to include identification of aircraft maintenance faults and corrective actions.
Complete flight documentation in accordance with applicable s tandards.
Complete pre-flight planning, pre-flight check s , coordinating with Airborne Sensor Operators / Mission Commanders.
Monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, other air traffic, and aircraft systems.
C coordinate flights with Fixed Base Operators, military range control, ATC (military and civilian), Primary Mission Equipment Operators, Mission Commanders, and Mission Coordination Services.
Operate modified Contractor Owned Contractor Operated aircraft in accordance with commercial and Host Nation regulations, and program policies and procedures.
Fly day / night / VMC/IMC.
Additional duties when directed as an Aviation Safety Pilot.
Operate from remote, austere, and primitive locations with possible unimproved runways.
Place special emphasis on crew member safety and customer relations.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Qualified in, mission, type, design, and if appropriate series of aircraft.
Not less than 1000 hours documented Pilot-in-Command time.
Pilot-in-Command time for other aircraft must include 300 hours in multi-engine turbo prop aircraft.
Possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
Possess a current FAA Commercial or ATP MEL pilot license.
Possess a BE-300 type rating.
Qualified and current under AR 95-20 and meets all currency qualifications for training.
Education
The Minimum Level Of Education Required Is
High school diploma
Desired But Not Requirements
The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
Former US military or government law enforcement pilot.
US military trained Fixed Wing Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot, or Instrument Examiner.
Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM area of operations.
Radio Telephone Operators Permit.
Experience supporting USSOCOM in global operations.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.
Altitude chamber or ROBD training within the past 4 years.
Other Qualifications
Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
Candidates hired for this position will be subject to a post offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess an active Secret security/TS preferred.
Must possess a valid passport with at least six months remaining prior to expiration.
Location:
Multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Possibly austere and primitive location(s).
