Job Description:
The Flight Instructor is a member of the flight instructor team assigned to support the Chief Flight Instructor teaching 141 flight training operations. This includes, but is not limited to, advanced ground training, certified flight instructor training, multi-engine, and Cirrus flight training courses. The Flight Instructor will support the Chief Flight Instructor by joining our team of education professionals at Melbourne Flight Training, to include mentoring other flight instructors for future advancement within the company, as well as mentor students towards their ratings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prioritize safety above all and ensure flight operations safety remains the #1 priority.
Support the Leadership Team and execute all company directives.
Conduct flight training for primary and advanced flight students.
Focus on student timelines to accomplish training in order to meet the student’s goals.
Maintain knowledge with respect to all FAA courses and MFT procedures being taught.
Maintain Gold Seal status with a minimum 80% pass rate.
Assist with development of course content in cooperation with the Chief Flight Instructor.
Assist the Chief Flight Instructor with technical publications development and refinement.
Ensure all student records are kept and current.
Conduct or stage checks and mock checkrides for the student body.
Manage relationships with maintenance personnel, students, customers, vendors, the assistant chief flight instructor, and upper management.

Job Requirements:
Maintains FAA Possess and Maintain Company Core Values
Instructs flight students with the “Heart of a Teacher”.
Gold Seal Instructor Status.
Holds appropriate supervisory experience, certificates, and appointments.
Holds a minimum Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate Class Ratings, an Instrument Rating, and an FAA 3rd Class Medical Certificate.
Holds appropriate Certified Flight Instructor ratings. CFI/II
Salary Range: $20-$30
