I think the biggest thing is mental endurance, the ability to focus while fatigued. Figure out a scan technique for the sections that work for you. That would help with the workload to make you more efficient. Test Prep was pretty spot on.

I remember my brain screaming for a break but you just gotta push through.

    I got a 98

I used the TBAS Test Prep app and that program helped so much. The stick and rudder module was definitely unnatural for pilots, felt like I was attempting to do a cross controlled stall the entire time.

    Hello all,

My name is David, I started flight training when I was 15 and now have over 220 hours PPL, High Performance/Complex and aerobatics time.

I joined the ND ANG as a MQ-9 Avionics Technician and was able to complete my degree in Aeronautics with a 3.6 GPA. I failed verbal and quantitative on the AFOQT the first time I took it but was able to pass the second time (99P, 99CSO, 99ABM, 18V, 59Q, 98PCSM). I finally sent off my first Application and it is nerve racking!

Feel free to PM me, happy to help and good luck everyone!

I second this, I did a tutoring session and took that advice. I didn’t have a very big vocabulary and struggled hard in word knowledge, the first time I took the test I got a 7 in verbal and after using the Magoosh apps I was able to get a 19 to pass the test.
