• I highly encourage everyone to look into Active Duty if you’re serious about flying and leading. It is my strongest belief that BogiDope lays the foundation for success in much more than just ANG apps. Between scoring well on the AFOQT, writing great essays, and interview prep tactics many of y’all are very prepared for the AD boards.

Was recently selected for 92T0 for 24-02. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

      Cheers

      • Congratulations Derek! Hard work pays off! I am competing for selection on the 25OTS01 hiring board and BogiDope has been a massive help along the process!

        • Was going to shoot you a PM, figured it would be better to have your input here in the group. How did your Board interview go and what types of questions were you asked? Looking through the Interview Debriefs, it seems different than on the Guard/Reserve side. Thank you, and congratulations again!

A small tip, if you can find out the name of your interviewing commander, it may be prudent to do some research about who he/she is. This gives you options to tie in your answers to them, or even ask questions and make conversation if you’re interested in their work at the end of the interview. I believe that this establishes a human element to your interview package. I was fortunate that my commander worked at Edward’s on the F35/X32 competition, working for Boeing on the F15EX program I had a great in with him.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help out with!

        • Absolutely! OTS UPT slots are absolutely something candidates should keep in their cross-check. A strategy I recommend is to set up age gates to expand options. Maybe rush that dream unit hard for a year and then start to open up the applications to more units and OTS.

          Congrats again Derek!

          • Couldn’t agree more! Just have to get your foot in the door and roll the dice of destiny.

            Thank you sir!
