Just wanted to reply to everyone. Thank you for all your advice. Just wanted to update with what worked for me if anyone come across this thread later on. I called the Education Center at Travis AFB and was able to schedule the test. I am currently a reservist so I was able to get on base, however they can arrange permission for civilians to sign up for the test.

I was able to do the same thing for the TBAS. There is a list of locations that offer the TBAS so call the number or find the email that is responsible for the test.

From what I’ve read IPT is going to be the new standard for the AF. It just sounds like this is an attempt to help with the T-6 bottlenecks and hit the quota of 1500 pilots. Outsourcing training to civilian flight schools sounds concerning for the long term. I’m sure anyone who earned their wings will tell you that there is a lot of value in what happens at the UPT bases with your classmates.

I understand it isn’t really up to debate at this point if IPT pros will outweigh its cons. We just have to embrace it and hope for the best.

I’m just curious if anyone on here has more information on how it’s being implemented and the possible locations for the IPT portion.
