Alternative Options For Flying
Hey Randy, I want to say don’t downplay yourself! I understand you want to be realistic but I’ve heard from many pilots that if they were realistic or listened to every person who told them no, they wouldn’t be where they are today.
Capitalize on what you can; you have a hard degree, so sell that. I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of times to get the…

Hello!
I’ve been trying to stay up to date on all the changes the Air Force is experiencing (as many of us are). I have a couple of questions in regard to Helo’s, if anyone can chime in. Correct me if I am wrong on anything I mention.
I’m assuming all pilot selects go to IPT, even rotary? Is it after IPT completion that you get sent to UHT? In…
2 CommentsHey Austin,
Take all this with a grain of salt, as I’m a recent select who’s still figuring stuff out but is this in reference to Guard/Reserve or Active Duty? For Guard/Reserve you would know what airframe you’re flying, so there would be no need to track Helo. Instead there’s an IPT-R in Dothan for helicopters, and then it’s Rucker to fly the…

TBAS Scoring - Best Score or Latest Score?
Here is the link to check your scores and information about the test. Don’t forget to submit any flight hours you have to increase your PCSM! I also highly recommend using a practice program prior to taking the test. Expect the test to be paced faster than most practice programs.

Hello,
Question about the TBAS – are we allowed to use a sticky note to draw a compass (rotating the sticky note next to the screen) for the UAV portion?
I’ve read online and heard from other applicants to use this technique but that was in regard to the ASTB.
I’m tracking we can’t bring anything to aid us in the TBAS.
Been a while since I took the TBAS but my recommendation is to practice it enough that you don’t need a sticky note, wasn’t too hard to get a technique/routine down to figure out the answer nearly immediately in your head. Kinda think having a sticky note would slow you down anyways, and time is a factor in the scoring.
