• Update on me. I’ve started reaching out to Squadrons after taking my tests. AFOQT I scored a 99 Pilot score and PCSM was a 59 (no flight hours). Got a call from the 130th RS today saying my SF background was interesting and would help however they really would like me to get some flight hours if I want to be competitive. I knew this was going to be a thing so I’ll definitely be trying to work towards that once I get back from my upcoming deployment. I’m really pushing it on time being that I’m 31. But I’m really working to get my name out there and see what rush events are happening once I get back. Unfortunately 130th is holding there’s while I’ll still be gone. I’ll probably retake the TBAS as well when I get back. I feel like I can do better and then get those flight hours as well. But yeah good luck to you all. If you got any questions or insight let me know!

      Cheers
      C.J. and Ben

      • Sounds like we’re in similar boats. I’m on the tail end of Active Duty time as an Army officer, and now I’m trying to fly fighters. I tried several fighter squadrons with no luck, probably due to my lack of civilian flight hours. I’m looking at the 93rd FS in Florida now. AFOQT is 96 Pilot, PCSM was 76. I’m 31 as well, so time is becoming critical. I’m retaking the TBAS tomorrow and planning to get flight hours to be more competitive.
