    Hey Randy,

I live in Orange County and took my TBAS at SFB LA, and it was a great experience. I highly recommend you take your TBAS there. Regarding the AFOQT, I recommend taking it at a PearsonVue test center. More specifically, “Quality Tutoring Services” off of Euclid in Anaheim, if you’re local to that area. I have taken over five tests there, including my AFOQT. It is a great testing center with a chill vibe (run by college students who are not super strict). In my experience, a few weeks before you plan on taking the AFOQT, your recruiter gives you a code to book your AFOQT on the Pearson website. Pearson is nice because you do not have to go through any other military formalities after receiving the booking code from your recruiter; it is a well-oiled machine. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or still can not contact your recruiter. I know a few recruiters at March ARB who would be more than willing to help! Have a great rest of your week.

Is anyone attending the 156th AS Open House on May 3rd? It would be cool to get to know some fellow rushees before the event!

Just took it at Los Angeles Air Force Base. Great equipment and great testing experience. Everything went super smoothly and everyone was super nice. Highly recommend.

    Hey Everyone!

My name is Ryan Morrissey, I am a 17-year-old Private Pilot with an IFR rating living in Orange County, California. I have about 350 hours and plan on taking my Commercial Single\Multi when I turn 18 next month, in June. It has been a goal of mine to fly C-17s in the guard\reserve for a couple of years now. I plan on applying and Lordwilling flying for the 729th Airlift Squadron, but at the end of the day, I will fly for any unit willing to get me through UPT. I plan to graduate college next summer with a bachelor’s in Aviation Sciences-Professional Pilot, at 19. The only hurdle that I need to start preparing for is taking my AFOQT, I plan to take it sometime this summer or the fall. I joined Bogidope to make myself a more competitive applicant, so thank you to everyone in the community for being so awesome and willing to help!

    God Bless you all,

    Ryan Morrissey

    Hey Sharky,

Thanks for the response! I have multiple pilot contacts at the unit, currently, I am visiting the 729th once a month usually during their UTA’s. I 100% agree with you on never being too early to get my name out there, I plan on visiting monthly until I become eligible for a UPT board.
