Another article released by the Air & Spaces Forces Magazine regarding the pilot shortage across the AF. This is clearly at the forefront of the minds of leadership in the Air Force right now. It is a good time to be current and qualified and an even better time to be looking to get into the Air Force in any capacity. My personal opinions remain strong, however, that we are not addressing the root cause of the issue when it comes to the pilot shortage. The Air Force needs to leverage the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve by incentivizing Active Duty pilots to transition to the Guard or Reserve.
