Bombing Drones? Have you heard of my friend named “the gun”?

Great writeup on the recent revelation that several attempts were made to down Iranian drones with laser guided JDAMs in 2023. They were unsuccessful and subsequently turned off.

While unsuccessful, it was a creative idea that was born in the heat of the moment with fighter pilots thinking on their feet. A good lesson to learn here is that this is an attribute that hiring units are looking for: a person who is willing to get the job done in new and innovative ways.
