Good to see another Navy guy on here! I’m Gunboss (Jeff Negus) BogiDope’s expert tutor and submarine veteran. I can definitely help you get the absolutely highest AFOQT score possible. I have the 100% Aviation Information solution! My question bank has been verified by 5+ folks to have EVERY question on the AFOQT AI section, so you won’t have to stress that area, just memorize. One of my students did the AI section in 3 minutes (8 minute time limit.) Also, my BogiDope and private students have achieved 25 99 Pilots to date.
Shoot me a DM, text me at (801) 554-6531, and let’s get started!

Longshot,
40 hours is now the max hours for adding to your PCSM score, so you are good there.
Although your ACAD, Verbal, and Quant aren’t TOO low, I would recommend bumping those up, which will also bring up your CSO. With a 99 Pilot, and the AFOQT being super-scored, you won’t have to stress the AI, TR, or IC, and can focus on the academic areas. As the competition gets steeper, the 99 Pilot isn’t always enough. I would recommend re-taking the AFOQT, and I can definitely help with all of the areas.
Also, you have maxed the flight hours, have a 99 pilot, but still have a PCSM of 82, so I would recommend retaking the TBAS.
Check out @maverick-maensivu ‘s post: He increased his PCSM from a 82 to a 97 solely by retaking the TBAS.
Please hit me up when you want to get started.

The best bet is to grab some tutoring time with me! For the WK and VA, the Magoosh GRE Vocab app works well. For MK and AR: most of the practice books out there have questions a little harder than the actual test. Definitely practice factoring! For the TR section: https://table-reading.com/ is a little harder than that actual test, but give you some great practice. For the IC section: https://afoqtpracticetest.com/instrument-comprehension/ , although it doesn’t feature the A-10 like on the test, is a good start. For the TBAS: https://tbastestprep.com/ gets you the most prepared for that test.

Boschetti,
The one on the test will be -17 to + 17 in both the X and Y directions. The table will take up about 4/5 of the screen, on the left-hand side, and the questions will appear, one at a time, on the upper right hand corner of the screen. It’s hard to set up to practice this way, but I can give you some tips as to how to do it.

Dadams09,
Latest feedback is that a formula sheet is only provided for the Math Knowledge portion of the exam and only has a few formulas on it. Sign up for a one-on-one tutoring session and I can share an expanded formula sheet that has every formula you will need to do well on the Arithmetic Reasoning and Math Knowledge sections.

@Pipes I have just finished a great SIFT overview and question frequency evaluation for the MST and MCT sections on the tests. Grab a tutoring spot and we can go over those and share the practice tests that I have available.

Ditch the flash cards, flight simiulators, and random internet forums. The TBAS Test Prep Tools are by far the best way to prepare yourself for the grueling

My biggest tip for the Word Knowledge section is to download the GRE Magoosh Vocabulary app and commit to learning five new words per day. Try to use the words in conversation or writing at least twice the day that you learn them and once a day after that. Student of mine that have used this strategy have greatly improved their scores in the Word Knowledge section.

That is correct, but 41 puts you in the top bracket for that score bump.

I play some on-line computer games with my adult children quite often. And tutor a lot! Not really a hobby, but I love it.

Sadly, my skiing days are long past. I last skied in 2006. I tore my left ACL in 2009, and just had a left leg Tibia-Fibula fracture in January of 2024. I’m even selling my beloved Honda Shadow 1100 this summer. Don’t trust my left leg to support that big of a bike anymore. I did grow up skiing in some of that slushy snow in Iowa and Minnesota. Utah truly does have the greatest snow on earth!
