So l’m a senior in high school going to college for aviation in Arizona and I’m going to join the Air Force guard during school. I want to be a fighter pilot after college and I was wondering what job would help me get my foot in the door and help me better connect with pilots to grow my network and to help my chances of getting a pilot slot. I got a 93 on my asvab. I herd crew Cheif was good as well as broomstick/loadmaster or sensor rpa was good. Also another quick question anybody have any experience with the squadron out of Tucson Arizona and how did you like it?

What’s your goal for joining the Air Guard during college? While it can be a good option there might be some more direct routes to a supersonic future.
There’s a lot that goes into enlisting and I worry that you might get pulled off track. What happens when you’ve got finals but the unit is deploying? Sometimes that 3 month deployment becomes 6 months out of school becomes a year of orders becomes a 4 year AGR.
Sounds like you are super committed and have stong scores. I think you could crush college and start rushing. Maybe CFI a bit while you’re waiting for the call. Soon enough you’ll be memorizing T-6 boldface.
