Squadron Tour, Formal Interview with D.O. and Squadron CC, and Informal Conversations throughout the day with other pilots which were also used to provide feedback in the hiring decision.
1. Tell me about yourself/why do you want to be a pilot?
2. Why the KC-135?
3. Are you willing to relocate/live in Indiana?
4. What are your long-term goals for working at the unit following training?
The 434th ARW tends to hire within, mostly because not many candidates enjoy living in Indiana following UPT who aren't from the Midwest. I would highly recommend contacting either the squadron's training rep or a recruiter to get a contact there. They will allow you to rush/tour the unit, but it's important to show you are committed to working for the squadron following training, even as a traditional reservist once your OJT is complete. The 434th ARW has two squadrons, 72nd ARS and the 74th ARS, they both hire during the same timelines.
