  Strengthening Guard/Reserve Unit Apps

  Hey there,

  I have done my fair share of research and watched a few videos but I was looking for anymore feedback on strengthening Guard/Reserve (specifically fighter units) application packages.

  I’m currently an Active Duty Boom Operator; Top Secret Clearance, Aviation Medically Qualified/Current, ~500hrs Combat and ~1000hrs aviation experienced. I’m in the process of pursuing a Cyber related degree, and intend on starting my PPL after this next deployment.

  Obviously from the beginning a decent GPA, high scoring AFOQT/TBAS/PCSM, and completing a PPL seems to be the baseline. I intend on making an impression with whatever unit I rush, and going above the normal for that.

  I am confident in networking and the interviewing process, but looking for any other ideas to set myself apart from the pack. If there’s more to add to an application that I am missing, or perhaps you feel that helps set you apart, please provide any ideas or feedback.
