466th Hill AFB Pilot Connections to Rush
Hey y’all,
I am local to Hill AFB, have a CAC and know where the 466th HQ is but don’t want to show up uninvited. I was wondering if anyone has any buddies that fly for the 466th and would be willing to help me get some face time with the crew there. I’m happy to provide my resume, cover letter and give my brief background. Their recruiting email hasn’t responded and I don’t have a number for them other than public affairs which also never answers.
From everything I’ve seen, I know they aren’t taking UPT slots now but I’d rather go in and hang out with them now to get some early face time before the crowd comes. Any connections help! Thank you.

Since you have access to the base I would absolutely just show up. You won’t be a limfac on someone having to escort you. The difference is how you approach just showing up. I’d bring a dozen doughnuts or bagels or something like that to put on the desk and just introduce yourself to the pilot sitting behind the desk and just let them know why you’re there. Ask them is there anyone around I could just chat with for a few minutes just to meet some folks. Introduce yourself to the other pilots and ask them if they have some time to talk, if they say no that’s ok if they say yes then talk with them and a good rule of thumb is to ask them how they became a pilot and what not to get them taking.
