For some reason, I cannot open the BogiDope app on my IOS devices anymore.

Is anyone having the same problem?

Same. I tried deleting it and redownloading it but it’s not even on the app store anymore.

I’m still able to access it, but I haven’t updated any of my IOS devices to the latest operating system, so maybe that’s causing an issue?

I also experienced this. I upgraded to a newer iPhone / IOS and it’s been unavailable & still unavailable on the app store. I contacted Apple and they didn’t have anything constructive to add.

    Question for the crowd…

Have you found the BogiDope App to be noticeably better than just using the mobile site?

Maintaining the app has been a constant drain on time and resources, and lately, it hasn’t seemed to offer much beyond what the regular mobile site already does. So when the recent iOS issues popped up, we decided to hold off on fixing them to see if people actually missed it.

So far, the silence has been pretty telling (present posts excluded)… but before we make a final call to phase it out and double down on more impactful tools, we wanted to hear from you directly.

Is the app something you want to see stick around—or are we better off focusing that energy elsewhere?

For me, using the mobile site was better than using the app because it was faster and has the same functionality as the desktop version. I think it would better to focus time and resources on something else since the app isn’t really needed.

I’d like to see the app stay. I usually do my work on a laptop and I think the notifications and ability to quickly check the feed were great reminders to log in, browse more, and get things done. I never used the mobile site on my phone until the app was gone and I’ve definitely checked the site less since then.

I feel the exact same way as Lauren. I relied on the notification function of the app and once the app became unavailable, I have visited the site less often.

The website does respond much faster than the app but having an app is still very helpful.
