Career Intermission Program
Hello, all
I was wondering if anyone knows about the CIP. My understanding is you can take up to a year off of Active Duty and whatever time you take off is doubled (1 year off = 2 year ADSC extension).
The purpose being to get on with the airlines sooner (get that line number, ya know), but I’m not sure how the airlines feel about hiring someone who has an active commitment remaining (and unsure of how that works with USERRA).
Either way, I’m not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze, but it seemed like an easy cheat code if the stars align.

Unfortunately, this program wasn’t around when I was on AD but I’m sure you can find the same info online that I found on the Googles – this was pretty informative…
