Check Airmen (CFI) – Part Time

BEE AIR LLC is seeking a part-time Check Airment to support our growing aviation operations. This 1099 contractor role is perfect for a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) looking for a flexible, low-commitment position while staying active in the industry. The role primarily involves checking out CPL-rated (or higher) renters, monitoring aircraft condition, and assisting with aircraft relocations within Florida.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct checkouts for potential renters to ensure proficiency in a C-150.

• Relocate aircraft within Florida as needed.

• Monitor the maintenance condition of the fleet and report any issues to maintenance personnel.

• Complete incident reports as necessary for safety concerns or violations.

• Assist with special projects, including updates to safety & operations manuals, standardization manuals, and personnel policies.

 

Position Details:

• Compensation: $40/hour

• Hours: ~10 hours/month (with potential for growth)

• Location: Florida (flexibility required for aircraft relocations)

• Schedule: Flexible, based on renter checkouts and fleet movement needs


Qualifications:

FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument AirplaneFAA Medical Certificate (current)Minimum 500 total flight hours (TT)Strong aircraft piloting skills, including ability to perform all required flight maneuvers and proceduresAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with aircraft ownership, maintenance requirements, and operational logistics

• Experience coordinating with maintenance personnel and scheduling inspections

• Strong understanding of aircraft airworthiness, AD compliance, and logbook documentation
