Job Description:
• The Captain (PIC) is designated for a flight or series of flights in accordance with the principles and procedures as required by FAR Part 135.
• The Captain (PIC) reports directly to the Chief Pilot and to the Captain of the flight for his or her conduct and execution of duties.
• Pilots must meet the minimum qualifications as specified by the Federal Aviation Regulation.
• Pilot schedules are a rotating 8 on / 4 off schedule.
• Pilots serve a 10-hour shift (maximum of 14 hours if operating under Part 135) at home and must be able to meet specified call-out times in order to meet the planned dispatch time of a trip.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must hold, or be able to attain, BE400A/XP (PIC)
• Hold, or be eligible to hold, an FAA ATP or Commercial certificate (restricted or unrestricted)
• First Class FAA Medical Certificate
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the preparation for flight, including flight planning, and preparing the aircraft for a flight.
• The Captain is responsible for the safety of the flight.
• Performs duties as assigned during flight preparation and in flight.
• Must be knowledgeable of the Company Manual, and Federal Aviation Administration Regulations, including Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other instructions pertinent to assigned duties.
• English language proficiency.
• Able to pass all required background checks and PRIA.
• Excellent customer relations skills and strong communications skills.
• Proficient in computer and iPad operations including software (internet, email, Microsoft Office, and Apple Products).
• Must be able to work varying hours including day and night; weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be extremely flexible and demonstrate the ability to adjust to rapid changes.
• Must be able to manage his or her rest in order to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
• While on duty may be away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels.
COMPENSATION:
• This is a salaried, full-time position based on experience and qualifications to be determined by management at the time of a conditional job offer.
