Private Owner / Growing Aviation Operation
We are seeking a highly experienced, professional Chief Pilot to take full ownership of a Cessna 421 operation based at Vero Beach Regional Airport (KVRB).
This is not a seat-warmer role. This is a leadership position for someone who wants control, responsibility, and a clean operation.
Position Overview:
• Aircraft: Cessna 421
• Operation: Part 91 (Owner-Operated)
• Annual Flight Time: ~250 hours/year
• Base: Vero Beach, Florida
• Mission: Business + personal travel (efficient, well-planned trips)
What You’ll Own:
• Full operational control of the aircraft
• Flight planning, execution, and safety
• Maintenance oversight (Part 91) – work directly with shops, track inspections, stay ahead of issues
• Scheduling & trip coordination with ownership
• Aircraft readiness – always fueled, maintained, and ready to go
• Vendor relationships (maintenance, avionics, hangar, etc.)
• Record keeping & compliance
Bottom line: You run the airplane like it’s yours.
Minimum Requirements:
• 1,000+ hours Twin Engine (Piston REQUIRED)
• Total Time: 2,000+ hours preferred
• Strong experience in Cessna 400 series or similar cabin-class twins
• Instrument Rated – Current & Proficient
• Proven experience managing Part 91 operations
• Strong mechanical awareness (you don’t need to turn wrenches, but you better understand what’s going on)
