Northrop Grumman is seeking a Fighter Pilot / WSO / CSO / NFO Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Senior Principal Mission Planner for the Combat Air Forces Distributed Training Center (CAF DTC). The location of this position is Langley AFB , VA. The CAF DTC provides daily training scenarios for combat units around the globe against real-world threats in a Virtual battlespace.

The candidate will facilitate integration training for US military aircrew, air battle managers, and Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) by role-playing fighter aircraft in daily Large Force and Small Team Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events. The candidate will learn and execute missions using Combat Environment Server (CES), Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), and/or Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE). The SME will stay abreast of current threats, tactics, techniques and procedures by reviewing tactics manuals, flash bulletins and tactics bulletins.

The Senior Principal Mission Planner will support daily training by scheduling, mission planning, creating mission materials, briefing, executing, and debriefing the DTC’s Large Force Exercises (LFEs) and Small Team events.

The candidate may attend CAF exercise planning conferences (e.g. RED FLAG), meetings, and sites to discuss unit training requirements. Assist the DTC incorporate those unit training requirements into missions.
Bachelor’s Degree with 9 Years’ Experience; Master’s Degree with 7 Years’ Experience; PhD with 4 Years’

Experience
Experienced with any of the following : Fighter Pilot / WSO /CSO / NFO (F-15C, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18, EA-18G, F-22, F-35)
Thorough knowledge of AFTTP 3-1 fighter employment
Operationally relevant experience within the past 10 years (simulator experience considered)
Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain to TS/SCI and SAP/SAR

Preferred Qualifications:
Mission Commander and/or Instructor Pilot/WSO/CSO/NFO experience
Thorough knowledge of SEAD/D-SEAD employment
Thorough knowledge of CAS employment
Possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance
Salary Range: $94,500 USD – $141,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
