Surdex, a leader in aerial mapping, is hiring a Chief Pilot to join our growing team of pilots. The key responsibilities of the position are to provide flight training, technical support and management of the Flight Department. We are located at the Spirit of St. Louis airport in Chesterfield, MO. The Chief Pilot is required to live in the St. Louis metro area. Relocation opportunities may be considered for the right candidate.

In this role you will have major responsibility for training and mentoring pilots as they move from single- engine piston to multi-engine aircraft, and ensuring that all safety training occurs. The Chief Pilot is responsible for compliance with FAA regulations. You will develop an understanding of Surdex production and quality standards and communicate clearly and frequently with pilots and flight operations. The Chief Pilot will serve as a backup pilot to supplement production and be available for out-of-town deployment as much as 15 consecutive days as needed.

Required Experience, Certifications and Skills

Current Commercial SEL/MEL with Instrument Rating

Second class medical and flight currency

1,500+ hours total time, 500 hours PIC, 250 hours Multi-engine, 200 Turbine

CFI, CFII and MEI preferred

Chief Pilot experience preferred

Valid driver’s license and passport

Strong verbal and written skills in English language

St. Louis metro residence
