All recruiters, despite the commissioning source you are going through, have to attend the same training. Active Duty Air Force applications will have some of the same components as ANG and USAFR.

Medically you will have to go through the same MEPS process and a Class I physical on both. The latter has to be approved by a Air Force Flight Surgeon. All Flight Surgeons have similar/identical training. The waiver process, regardless of commissioning source goes through the same office in San Antonio.

Interesting fact, the MEPS computer system is visible to both USAF Active Duty and all ANG and USAFR recruiters. If you apply for one…they can all see your application. It has the same paperwork for your medical clearances all tied to your SSN.
