Chainsaw, I also encourage people to start the networking process pre-rush. Our aviation communities are smaller than you think. You run into each other at Red Flag, Cope North and other exercises, not to mention at the airport lounge.

i served on AD as an F-15E WSO (now called CSO).
For those out there looking at age waivers, I entered at age 27 and needed to get an age waiver to apply for UPT.
At the time,’it took a 3 stars’ signature to get the piece of paper off of the base.

Let me chime in here. I am a retired F-15E WSO. Here is a huge piece of advice about ratings that I wish I knew years ago. You will need them in order to count any hours you get in the back seat to PIC time.
Having a PPL- SEL and PPL- SEL with an instrument rating (and high performance btw) would help you immensely in this process.
