• One of the drawbacks of active duty is the lack of control. Luck and timing (along with individual performance, of course) play a huge part in what airplane you’ll fly.

      According to this recent memo, active duty (not necessarily Guard/Reserve) fighter slots will be limited over the next year or two until the training pipeline logjam is cleared.

      The good news for anyone over a year out from UPT is that this will likely lead to a huge demand for fighter slots to make up for this lull down the road.

      Good luck to any active duty bros/gals hunting for one of the limited AD fighter slots!
