    I am currently going through the process of becoming a crew chief for a guard unit I want to fly for. Anyone have experience going from enlisted guard to guard pilot?

      Many successful ANG Pilots began their careers as enlisted crew chiefs.  I even know units that elected to hold closed hiring boards, only inviting currently-serving enlisted members from within the wing.     I just got into contact with the unit I want to work/fly for. Going through the process now. Just waiting on my MEPS stuff to get sent to the recruiter.

    Thank you so much for the reply Snip! The more research I’ve done the more I see that AFROTC is probably not the best option. It seems like the best would be to enlist in the Guard and go for my degree from there.
