AFOQT Prep
Any advice when taking the AFOQT? Currently preparing to take it but would love to know what worked best for yall, thanks!

I would recommend getting some tutoring from @Tutor-Gunboss . Best resource out there.
1-
I did Barron’s and then got extra tests from AFOQTGuide.com. Additionally, I did extra table reading practice from the AF’s resources. If you’re taking the PearsonVue test, you want to practice the table reading on a computer screen, because it is certainly different than doing it on a piece of paper in the practice resources. The Barron’s author gets a little bit tangential at times, but overall it is good material.
I would not do any tutoring until you have gone through all of Barron’s and done at least 3-4 practices tests. If you don’t do the practice exams, you don’t know what you don’t know, and you’re just wasting the time of you and your tutor.
The vast majority of the test is about time management. If you are forced to redo a problem, you will not finish, so keep on moving.
I got a 99 pilot and high 90s in everything else except for quant in which I got an 80. I did not finish one of the quant sections and certainly paid for it. I studied about a month.

Caleb, I can definitely help! Besides a 100% solution for the pilot section, I have many practice tests, extra math worksheets if needed, and 27+ 99 Pilot scores among my students. A little bit of tutoring goes a LONG way. Gunboss

I used this app and it was tremendous. I increased to the 90’s for pilot, CSO, and ABM, and I also increased my other scores quite a bit.

I would strongly recommend the most recent guides posted on Amazon as a place to start. They worked great for me. They’ll give you familiarity with the kinds of questions you’ll get, and the practice tests get you familiar with how fast you need to be working through the test itself.
