Living and working by Hill AFB in Utah, I can attest to the constant motivation the F35s bring to me! Also cool getting free air show demos every now and then lol. But, to pile up on some tips or insights, I scored a 99 AFOQT Pilot score and PCSM with only ~14 flt hrs. I wont repeat what all has been said already because those are solid recommendations I some-what used.
TBAS: Some recommendations would be the tracking portion was easier than expected and if you get the TBASTestPrep.com software, if you practice using the default speed you’ll do great on the real thing. Remember to practice the 2D tracking (joystick) and horizontal tracking (rudder) separately and together. Definitely find a flow for the multitasking portion and for the letter memorization, my strategy was to try to make a familiar word(s) and memorize that along with whatever individual letter I couldn’t fit into a word for a more natural memorization as opposed to memorizing each individual letter. Since I’m quicker with math and rack up points faster there, I’d accept a point deduction there just to spend an extra few seconds trying to make a word up when new letters were shown and get every word memorization question right. If that is possible for you, I’d say its worthwhile. Lastly, I recommend you increase the speed+frequency your callsign gets called for the multitask radio portion on the same software.
AFOQT: Find your testing baseline using the Wingman app that GUNBOSS has developed and consistently practice the areas of the pilot composite score that you do worse in while maybe practicing the ones you excel in 1-2 times max per study session to maintain and still gradually excel your capability.
General: Delete social media or any video games if you have either to focus any free time on studying with phone apps quizlet for the directional orientation TBAS section or Magoosh vocab builder to study the Word Knowledge AFOQT section. Best of luck to all!

But for those in the Utah/SLC area without a CAC – I have called all recruiters in the area, worked with Hill’s TCO, contacted the University of Utah AFROTC detachment, and Utah ANG. All forementioned couldn’t help nor knew how to help in taking the AFOQT. Best lead I had was two pilots with the Utah ANG that were willing to vouch but not sure if that would lead to actual sponsorship on base to take the test.
Best of luck and feel free to message me if you have any questions!
