I had the same issue with the test prep book, so I used the one linked here for a lot of my studying: https://access.afpc.af.mil/pcsmdmz/Form%20T.HTML
I printed it out to practice and also practiced reading it off the screen, since some test centers give you a paper copy and some don’t.

I had to fill out a ton of paperwork to get signed up for the AFOQT, none of it was actually committing, just an application, which might be what they’re asking for–still annoying, though. I took my TBAS on a base though, if the education center will let you sign up as long as you can get on base that might be the way to go–I called the local recruiting office and they sent someone to sponsor me on base. You could also try contacting recruiters in other areas, since all you need is a code from them to sign up online for the AFOQT and then you can take it nearby–I was able to take mine at the testing center of my local community college. Hope that helps!

I’m still able to access it, but I haven’t updated any of my IOS devices to the latest operating system, so maybe that’s causing an issue?

Could you talk to a recruiter outside of your area, maybe near a squadron you want to apply to? Once I got the code to sign up from the recruiter I was able to take the test at my local community college’s testing center.

I got my TBAS scheduled at the FE Warren education center and the local ANG recruiting office can bring me on base for it! Way easier and everyone was way more helpful than in Denver. Thanks all for the help!

The Unsubstantial Air by Samuel Hynes, about American fighter pilots in WW1, was really good. He flew TBMs in WW2 and you can definitely tell it’s a book written by a pilot who really understood why they did what they did. Into the Teeth of the Tiger by Donald Lopez is another good WW2 one, he flew in China. An Officer, Not a Gentleman by Mandy Hickson covers her training and time as an RAF tornado pilot, really great descriptions of fast low-level flying. For non-military aviation Success on the Step, which is a history of Kenmore Air, is amazing—they have done some absolutely insane mountain flying and bush flying around the northwest. Not in print anymore but you can find it pretty cheap on eBay. For non-aviation military The Junior Officer’s Reading Club by Patrick Hennessy is one of the best accounts I’ve read of early 21st century war(s) from the non-SOF ground troops side.

I was on the Buckley Pilot Jobs website over the weekend and they had a big banner across the top of the page saying 2025 UPT hiring was all canceled. But if they posted it I’ll disregard that and apply!

The recruiter kept talking about the MEPS physical as part of the process but I never actually had to do it. Good luck!

Awesome, thank you! Did you total even the columns that didn’t have entries on your last logbook page?

Thank you Clay, I appreciate it! My college is a bit of a drive away but at this point I’d be willing to drive across Wyoming to take the TBAS. I might know someone with AF ROTC connections here, I’ll reach out!
