Latest on IPT

BLUF: IPT = commercial multi+instrument at a part 141 civilian facility. Then T-6s at a UPT base

This article tracks with other sources and gives some visibility on what IPT is likely to look like.

Should be a fun and rewarding experience and I think it’s great for the LTs going through.

My personal opinion is that it won’t help the USAF production challenges but that’s another discussion

But again should be a great way to learn to fly so enjoy it!

  Thanks Husky for the intel, do you know what happens if a student already has their civilian ratings? Would they just go straight to the T-6?

  Thanks @Husky . Any idea of IPT would be “accompanied”? i.e. family allowed to come along? I’ve searched around and found little about that so if you have no clue, no sweat.
