You can absolutely go P8s to ANG. In fact, you could probably walk right into the 201st airlift squadron (DV 737s in DC). With a short course, you could fly any ANG heavy.
Jump onto milrecruiter, check the box “hiring rated,” and start calling hiring POCs (pilots).
If there’s a unit you like that isn’t hiring, call them…

I bet Wisconsin is going through 100-200 applications, and they’ll want to take the time to do it right. 45 days is pretty typical

Having the ticket is ideal, but having hours towards the goal will be enough for some units to take a look. I think solo is probably the minimum table stakes.
