    @ehren , good luck, man 🤞🏽.

    I mean, it’s totally do-able; I literally follow this Army guy who was at a rush that I was at for the 183rd (C-17s out of Jackson, MS), and some people at the unit really liked him.

    They called him back for an interview, he tested well with the board, and I saw on his Instagram story that he was recently at Wright-Patt. (the flight physical people). He required an ETF (?) age waiver, just like me, because of being over 33, but they were really willing to go to “bat” for him.

    If you’re off-the-field Army, then, by all means, keep the hustle going. For all intents and purposes, though, definitely try and reach-out to whoever from the unit, and get a “feel” for them, before you spend all of the time and money to visit them, though…that’s my recommendation. I’ve been Hail Mary-ing myself to units all over the country, trying to get a good result. My case is a little bit different, though, as I’m a Navy O-2, who just got his walking papers…also…I already had a shot when I was in flight school in Pensacola. You’re just 33, which is totally waiverable; I have some risk factors that the units probably won’t want to gamble on.

    If you have any questions about my experience, though, then I’d be more than willing to share some of the things that I picked-up along the way.
