SANDY Flight is Coming!
The Hawg is still alive! As a former Hawg dude and SANDY nothing makes me more proud than to see the professional men and women of the A-10C community going out to execute one of the most dangerous missions the Air Force trains to; Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR). It is incredible to watch the A-10C roar back to life in the current Operation by hanging it all out on the line to rescue downed pilots behind enemy lines. It was indeed the hardest mission set I have ever trained to, and one I have the utmost respect for those still executing it. If you haven’t seen the pictures of an A-10C with a partially blown off vertical stab still executing a High Angle Strafe in the current fight, I encourage you to do some research. You never know what else you may find.
That image is the reason why the A-10C can still do things that no other platform in the DoW can do. I personally think the events of the past few days, and the role the A-10C has played, will not only shape the politics of foreign policy, but also the domestic politics of strategic divestment and acquisition. So Others May Live

A former US marine tells the BBC the priority of any recovery team would be to look for signs of life.
ryan-newton and HK232 CommentsAs a JTAC-I we’re also very stoked to see the Hawg shine once again. We’re hoping to see the talks of their retirement completely vanish after this conflict
