As an A-10 bubba, I have been told since the beginning of my career that the A-10 was “going away”, but this time seems different. The closure of the 25th Fighter Squadron in Korea will be the second active duty (AD) Fighter Squadron to divest their A-10s following ANG’s Fort Wayne last year. It seems this might actually be the end of an era…

USAF Will Withdraw A-10 Aircraft from Korea in 2025
Starting in January, the U.S. Air Force will start withdrawing its A-10 aircraft from Osan Air Base, South Korea.
