Wild stuff going on in Poland. Russian drone incursions have placed the Polish Air Force squarely in the counter-UAS game along with much of NATO. Of note to the BD community, and outside of the greater NATO Article 4 and 5 implications, this is a data point on one of the most likely mission sets that future BD members will partake in.

Quick hit on something that comes up with some applicants in the hiring process that nobody likes to talk about: adverse legal proceedings. There are applicants on both the rated and UPT side of the hiring house that have had run-ins with the law in the past. Does that disqualify you from being a military pilot?

Yes, well-rounded individuals are always in high demand. For a UPT board specifically, you are looking to accomplish a few things from your resume.
1.) Show that you are organized, show attention to detail, and can put together a professional product

Another entry for the shelf: A Dawn Like Thunder. These dudes truly had guts. Flew underpowered airplanes laden with a torpedo on wave-top attacks against Japanese battleships. A great memoir of how to prepare to deal with horrendous combat losses.

The next B-21 Raider is in the hands of the USAF and alleged to be still on track for an IOC of the mid-2020s. Nice to see positive news/progress out of the test world. With the recent setbacks of both the T-7 and F-15EX, a new on-time (for now) airframe feels good.
