The first T-7 Red Hawk is being delivered to the 99th Flight Training Squadron
The first T-7 is being delivered to the 99th FTS tomorrow, December 5th. The introduction of the Red Hawk will cause dramatic changes in how new pilots are trained at UPT. Switching from the stick and rudder skills learned in the T-38, to more sensor managment skills that will be needed in 5th and 6th generation fighters. One item mentioned in the article below is more simulator time and less actual flight time. What are your thoughts out there in BD world about continuing to reduce flight time for new aviators?

Allgood1 CommentI love how this jet looks. I hope I get the opportunity to train in it. Is the difference in maneuverability between this and the T-38 significant? I wonder how the sensor management training will work.
