Nola was a blast. The whole unit is a tightly knit community and all of the people there were very welcoming. Having talked to other applicants before applying helped to take some of the awkwardness out of having to get to know 50+ candidates, pilots, etc. My biggest piece of advice is to be humble and be yourself. It is a big weekend for applications with 3x units closing out deadlines: South Dakota F-16s & Minnesota/Texas C-130s. Good luck to all of those submitting apps. Hopefully, this is the one that gets you to the next step!
